Declaration of Principles
We hold these truths to be inescapable: that human conversation is the bedrock of understanding, that authentic dialogue is irreplaceable, and that our digital age, while connecting us globally, has paradoxically contributed to a profound crisis of loneliness, disconnection, and political polarization.
Therefore, we declare our commitment to these principles:
- First, that meaningful discovery must be prioritized over attention exploitation. We reject platforms that manipulate users into endless scrolling while failing to deliver genuine value.
- Second, that algorithms must never prioritize engagement at the expense of truth. We stand against systems that create echo chambers and amplify misinformation, recognizing that good-faith discourse cannot thrive in spaces optimized for controversy and conflict.
- Third, that mental wellbeing must be protected from addictive design patterns. We acknowledge that social media jealousy and compulsive behaviors are degrading mental health, increasing anxiety, and fostering isolation.
- Fourth, that no single entity should control the public discourse. We reject the concentration of power in Big Tech monopolies that serve as single points of failure and raise democratic concerns.
- Fifth, that privacy is non-negotiable. We make an unconditional promise: this platform will never accept advertising in any form, as we believe the manipulation of attention for profit fundamentally corrupts genuine human connection.
This declaration serves as our foundation and our promise: to create and maintain a platform that helps people remove communication barriers.
Declared this day, in service of human civilization.
